BIOGRAPHY: Moved at the age of six with his parents to a homestead in Floyd Township in Sanborn County, in 1884. He grew up on this farm and had one year of college at Brookings before marrying. He then moved to Artesian where he was an apprentice in D.D. Strong's blacksmith shop.
Oscar opened his shop in Fedora and walked to and from Artesian each day to work. The shop he owned was formerly owned by O.N. Hylland.
They moved to Fedora in 1907 and in 1908 moved to the pink house north of the tracks and later moved to Matt Peterson's old house.
Oscar played the clarinet in the Artesian band and also sang in a quartet. He drove the bus from 1924 - 1944. He was also justice of the peace.

BIOGRAPHY: Worked on the cnstruction of the first power line bringing electricity to Fedora, also the bridge at Mobridge. He moved to California and worked for the Associated Telephone Company.

BIOGRAPHY: Attended business college in Mitchell then worked for A. Moe store in Fedora before she opened a store in the Breneman Building in 1932 with Clar Miller. After selling out to Bud Clarke in 1953, she moved to Howard and worked in the A.S.C office. After retiring, she moved to Mitchell.
