BIOGRAPHY: Lived in Iowa in 1859 in Pleasant Township, Winnesheik County. Came to Dakota Territory Miner County, which is now Sanborn County on May 16, 1879. He was the first to bring his family to the area. he settled on SW 1/4 Sec 1-T.106N-R60W (Union Township. He is listed in the 1880 census as living in Miner County before it was split to Sanborn County.
